    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Information Assurance Engineer in Scott AFB, IL who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing security requirements.


    This position is contingent upon contract award to Applied Insight. 


    The Information Assurance Engineer will perform IA functions shall possess, at a minimum, a Security + certification to meet the requirements as defined in DoDD 8140.01. Personnel will be required to complete all 375 CSPTS-specified orientation program(s), initial and annual training requirements, and comply with all 375 CSPTS policies, procedures, instructions, productivity standards and all applicable Air Force, Air Mobility Command instructions as provided by the 375 CSPTS.


    • US Citizenship required
    • Must hold a current Secret or TS/SCI clearance
    • DoD IAT Level 1 (Level 2 preferred); CISM; CISSP; GIAC Security Leadership
    • A minimum of 5 years designing and implementing complete IA/Security environment throughout the system lifecycle.
    • Knowledge of C&A processes including DIACAP and IT Lean/SISS
    • Successful candidates shall have an excellent working knowledge of:
      - Virtual Machines (VM);
      - Past, current and emerging Microsoft Windows operating systems;
      - Various flavors of UNIX. This knowledge base should include; Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX), Solaris, TRU64, HP-UX and the proprietary versions of LINUX.
      - networking architecture, devices, technologies and protocols as well as practical experience in firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and wireless technology.
      - Web server knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache and Netscape, as well as other COTS server products is important
      signs and Implements complete IA/Security environment throughout the system lifecycle.
    • Relevant database knowledge should include:
      -Oracle, SQL, MongoDB or Sybase, as well as other COTS database products.
      -Individuals shall possess the skills to thoroughly analyze (source code analysis) Government off-the shelf (GOTS) applications for security weaknesses or vulnerabilities introduced in the development process.
      Working knowledge of the following programming languages:
      -C, C++, SQL, SQL+, PLSQL, PHP, JAVA, Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, Cold Fusion plus other programming languages utilized by the supported C2, transportation and financial systems is critical. The level of knowledge shall be sufficient to provide a detailed security review to identify coding practices potentially jeopardizing the security of the supported systems.
    • Expertise required in one or more of the following: Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Scanner; HP Fortify Static Code Analyzer; HP WebInspect; and ACAS/Nessus Security Scanner.
