    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Network Administrator in New York, NY. The Network Administrator will provide expert technical support to the Court IT department to support the court's network operations and improve the court's network security posture based on the Judiciary's IT Security Scorecard and NIST standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Acquires, installs, and maintains local area networks
    • Ensures network security and connectivity
    • Studies vendor products to determine those which best meet user needs and presents information to management for acquisition approval
    • Purchases and installs new products
    • Manages local area network performance and troubleshoots problems
    • Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced
    • Establishes and implements local area network policies, procedures and standards
    • Maintains distributed processing databases on the local area network
    • Trains users on local area network operation and use

    Qualifications

    • 8-10 years of general experience in electronics, data communications or telecommunications positions with progressive experience in a networking environment
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work without direct supervision

    Combined 8+ years must include the following experience: 

    • Hands-on network infrastructure management and network operations support
    • Application of network security principles, network access control models and industry best practices
    • Strong knowledge of networking models, including 1Pv4/1Pv6
    • Design and implementation of physical and wireless networks
    • Extensive experience with installing and administrating Cisco network hardware and software-defined networking solutions (i.e. Cisco DNA Center, Infoblox)
    • Work experience with VMWare ESXi I Hyper-V, Windows/RHEL environments
    • Analytical ability to monitor and evaluate network operations, identify problems, recommend solutions and develop documentation to improve the customer's network security posture and network operations
    • Familiarity with designing and implementing network segmentation strategy
    • Network vulnerability assessment and remediation
    • Network systems auditing, patching, monitoring, and reporting
    • Working knowledge of hyperconverged solutions (i.e. Nutanix and Rubrik)
    • Strong knowledge of CISCO Identity Services Engine (ISE), with CISCO ISE implementation experience

    Desired:

    • Certification in Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCNP or Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) 
    • Experience with common scripting languages 
    • Experience with centralized log management solution, i.e. Splunk or similar product 
    • Previous experience working with Federal US Courts
