    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a HR Generalist in Tysons, VA. The HR Generalist will provide support to the Human Resources team to ensure smooth and efficient Human Resources and Recruiting practices and operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support with basic administrative HR tasks such as creating employee files, filing employee data records, and maintaining the employee file room
    • Provide employment verifications to outside vendors
    • Assist and conduct background check interviews for federal investigators
    • Coordinate and assist with new hire packages, offers, background checks and drug testing, and onboarding activities
    • Prepares termination documents in support of terminations; gathers and prepares all documentation needed. Conducts exit interviews and distributes results accordingly
    • Provide support to employees with basic benefit inquiries and personal information changes
    • Supporting the development of affirmative action plans and filing of Vets 4212 and EEO-1 reports
    • Assist the recruiting team with social media outreach
    • Post job openings, create job descriptions as needed, and assist the recruiting manager with maintenance of the company careers page
    • Record recruitment activities in our applicant tracking system
    • Designs and runs queries and prepare various reports as requested
    • Develops and maintains customer relationships through daily interaction and frequent communication
    • Assist with other related tasks and projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of HR experience as a HR Administrator or HR Generalist
    • Minimum of 3 years Federal government contracting industry experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with HR or business management emphasis preferred
    • Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful, and organized to work in a multi-functional role
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to maintain professionalism and exercise discretion with sensitive data
    • Must be tech savvy across multiple platforms using various software systems, and social media
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with employees and outside vendors\customers
    • Experience maintaining and updated Applicant Tracking, Benefits, and/or HR Information systems. Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now and iCIMS and other relevant software
    • Basic knowledge of labor and employment laws including: EEO/AA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and OFCCP guidelines preferred
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess solid internet research skills
