    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Project Manager in Washington, D.C. 

     

    Project Manager provides planning and integration support for all projects.  The Project Manager will primarily assist the Security Branch within the SBMS Office by performing project management tasks.  The Project Manager will track project health and status.  This role will require close interaction with DTS Project Leads, PMs, Division and Branch Chiefs. 

     

    The Project Manager is expected to contribute to a broad spectrum of activities including coordinating and scheduling project meetings, updating project schedules, gathering project and team status, assisting in the development of weekly status reports, managing the resource pool matrix, supporting initial kickoff meetings, providing timely communications to all teams to advocate situational awareness across applicable DTS organizations, assists in documenting internal processes and capturing meeting minutes.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitates (scheduling, coordination, notes, follow up) weekly ASD Management meetings and Security Project Management meetings, as well as supporting project tracking activities across the ASD Security Team
    • Directly supports the Security Branch Chief with departmental communications, ASD division-wide project tracking, existing personnel management, new hires (including candidate search, interviews, hiring), and administrative support
    • Develops and manages the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
    • Supports ASD Security compliance with SBMS-mandated reporting processes and requirements, including the SBMS COO SharePoint portal
    • Communicate with customers and internal team members at regular and frequent intervals to ensure expectations are set, timing is met, and that appropriate attention to the contract detail is being paid to customer projects
    • Owns and performs special projects in support of overall ASD Security program management as requested by the ASD Security Branch Chief
    • Manage and develop project documentation and artifacts in accordance with ASD Security policies and processes
    • Assist with developing executive level presentations and briefs
    • Provides leadership and expertise to deliver ASD Security initiatives on schedule and within budget
    • Develops program/project management processes in support of Security related initiatives
    • Maintains compliance with the enterprise ITPM processes and guidelines
    • Coordinates and facilitates multi-office/division/branch efforts requiring the participation of ASD teams
    • Supports the strategic goals of the Architecture Security Branch and documents a path forward from project initiation to project completion
    • Conducts monthly Project Management Reviews (PMRs)
    • Owns and manages the resource personnel pool
    • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
    • Comprehends and employs PMI, ITIL, SDLC, basic engineering processes and principles where applicable
    • Assists in defining, documenting roles and responsibilities for security architecture efforts
    • Manages and provides programmatic oversight for all initiatives from the ASD Security portfolio level and down
    • Works closely with engineering and cyber security personnel to provide assurance that all initiatives are properly tracked and monitored according to ITPM standards
    • Ability to understand high-level technical discussions and contribute from a cyber security engineering perspective (pulls all the pieces together to develop the big picture)
    • Prepares monthly reports and executive-level briefs
    • Comprehends, aggregate and interpret project metrics
    • Documents the holistic perspective of all ASD Security initiatives how they are interwoven/ identifies and documents these dependencies to demonstrate how they enhance existing and new services in support of the ASD Roadmap

    Qualifications

    • Requires 10+ years relevant experience
    • Requires understanding of IT services related processes and technologies
    • Able to rapidly gain a strong understanding of a client’s business, technology, and process needs
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
    • Experience using tools Microsoft: SharePoint, Project, and Visio required
    • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
    • Strong project management skills or PMP preferred
    • Familiar with ITIL processes and NIST guidelines
    • General knowledge of data center operations and managed services
    • Ability to physically perform general office requirements
    • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with reasonable accommodations
