    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Lead Engineer in San Antonio, TX to oversee design, development, evaluation, and modification of keys systems of a major Air Force cyberspace weapon system.


    This position is contingent upon contract award to Applied Insight.


    As technical team leader, the Lead Engineer will work with other managerial staff to ensure program completion in an efficient manner. The Lead Engineer will develop engineering solutions for approved system changes, optimization of system performance, and issue resolution to ensure uninterrupted services.


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Virtualization support of virtual machines and networks
    • Software engineering support in both UNIX and Windows environments
    • Software patching and upgrades
    • Developing and maintaining voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems
    • Develop specifications, network drawings, schematics, and other artifacts


    • US Citizenship required
    • Must hold a current TS/SCI clearance
    • DoD IAT Level 1 (Level 2 preferred)
    • Sec+, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE required
    • Education and experience must be HS 16+ years, BA/BS 10+ years, or MA/MS 8+ years
    • Applicants must have experience developing strategies focused on system capacity planning aspects, including analyses of alternatives
