    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Project Manager in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities

    The Project Manager serves as the contractor's Contract Manager, and is the contractor's authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), management personnel and customer representatives.

    • Helps determine both technical and business goals in consultation with top management and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals
    • Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising Contractor personnel and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates. Shall be responsible for the overall contract
    • Responsible for the personnel and technical management of all tasks
    • Ensure that the full range of corporate resources is available and made available to perform the required tasks
    • Provide Quality Control Plan for all relevant requirements
    • Provide to the COTR frequent periodic reports on the status of the contractor staffing
    • Provide management oversight of all contract personnel and ensure high-quality and acceptable task completion and deliverables from contract personnel in compliance with the SOW
    • Responsible for the delivery of services and products to the customers as agreed to (by contract, by SLA, by task order, etc.)
    • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities in computer-related activities including electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming
    • Performs day­ to-day management of the program, and develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied in future years of the contract
    • Ensures technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. Provides supervision, training, and direction to staff
    • Accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates
    • Coordinates activities in support of program managers and teams that support the provisioning, design, installation, maintenance, and billing of services
    • Ensure that contractor tasks are completed within the deadlines, tasking guidance from the COTR is clear and unambiguous, contract personnel are qualified to perform the tasks, and potential personnel problems are pre-empted
    • Consult and coordinate with the COTR and the appropriate Task Manager for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, training needs, and task clarification
    • Establish and implement streamlined processes and procedures enabling the contractor to rapidly respond to surge requirements for increased contract personnel
    • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements
    • Direct daily operations of department by: analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
    • Stay abreast of advances in technology
    • Review and approve all systems charts and programs prior to their implementation
    • Analyze computer and information needs from an operational and strategic perspective and determine immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements

    Qualifications

    • Must possess an Active TS/SCI Clearance and CI Poly. Candidates without a poly can be considered but will be required to take one prior to starting
    • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
    • 16 years experience or equivalent with college education
    • 3-5 years of experience overseeing and managing technical project(s)
    • 3-5 years of Technical Writing experience; writing sample may be requested
    • Must be able to work independently without close supervision; self-motivated and disciplined
    • Ability to serve as a liaison between program management and planning and line management
    • Ability to prepare project execution plan and identify technical and business resource needs
    • Understanding and ability to report project status and budgets manage schedules and prepare status reports
    • Ability to assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives Ability to provide technical and analytical guidance to project team

    Preferred Skills:

    • Project or Task Management experience
    • Small group/team leadership experience
    • Technical writing or technical editing experience
