    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a Project Manager in Chantilly, VA.

     

    The Project Manager gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information; conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology; translates technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel; develops all types of documents and reports; and develops graphics to improve the quality and enhance the usability of documents.

    Responsibilities

    • Support tasks requiring the collecting, compiling, evaluating and publishing of information and statistical data in documents, records, forms, reports, plans, policies, regulations
    • Maintain correspondence suspense files, records, files for reports, operating procedures, internal memorandums, and composes correspondence
    • Provide support such as technical writing, technical editing of word processing and other computer-based documents, integration of various sources into a cohesive product which may be delivered as computer-based magnetic media, preparation of graphical and narrative presentation material
    • Compose technical documents including, user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
    • Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user's manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents
    • Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with Government standards of best practice
    • Track, analyze, and report critical path analysis, metrics, schedule and task status accurately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports
    • Ensure accuracy of project schedules and perform version control while tracking baseline variances
    • Coordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of agenda, meeting minutes, graphics and reports
    • Monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical path activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
    • Review, compare, and analyze schedule performance against baseline program plans
    • Use MS Project files as the source documents for updating milestone graphics weekly
    • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews, Schedule change control reviews, System Engineering Lifecycle gate reviews, and other meetings as required to support the program to achieve system development milestones
    • Upload, link and maintain MS Project schedules

    Qualifications

    • TS/SCI clearance is required 
    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
    • 3 years of experience using MS Project preferred
    • IT System Engineering Lifecycle knowledge and experience preferred
    • Strong communication skills to build schedule and lead schedule review meetings
    • Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 
    • Strong SharePoint, VISIO and PowerPoint experience is desired
    • Agile and Scrum experience preferred, not required
    • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
    • Good analytical and planning skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Good attention to details
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality
    • Ability to work effectively within a team setting
    • Ability to multitask and work with changing priorities
    • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
