    Responsibilities

    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a talented Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with experience in networking, network infrastructures involving LANs and WANs. Will accept a CCNA but are required to obtain their CCDA certification within the 3 months of employment. Must be DoD 8570 Information Assurance Certifications IAT Level I compliant (Sec+, and A+, or Network+).

     

    • Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, functional network and systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex virtualization and networking problems that require the highest level of expertise.
    • Responsible for the most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the weapon system platforms. Monitors and controls the performance and status of the weapon system resources.
    • Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.
    • Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
    • Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
    • Develops information systems assurance programs and control guidelines.
    • Consults with and advises other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures.
    • Prepares activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function.
    • Uses current information security technology disciplines and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information assets in accordance with established standards and procedures.
    • Develops and maintains knowledgebase on changing regulatory, threat, and technology landscapes to continually develop or maintain security policies and standards, and ensure compliance for the weapon system.

    Qualifications

    • Current Active TS/SCI clearance is required
    • Over 5+ yrs experience working with switches, routers, hubs, and media convertors.
    • Over 10+ years of relevant industry / Government experience
    • Over 3+ yrs experience in virtualizing environments
    • Over 3+ yrs experience in system integration
    • Familiarity with the following technologies: LAN/WAN knowledge, Cisco, Brocade and Dell Force 10 switches. ASA Firewalls, Fidelis XPS COTS products (Network, Internal/Direct, Connect, Proxy, Mail, Edge, and Scout).
    • Able to define project tasks and coordinate work with other project team members.
    • Proven problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be a strong team player.

    • Certification Requirement: CCNA, CCDA, Security+, Network+, or A+
    • Monthly Travel
