    Applied Insight (AI) is seeking a qualified, dependable and driven mid to senior level System Engineer TS/SCI Clearance to support an Intelligence Community customer in Herndon, VA. Candidate will be required to go through a CI polygraph if not active. The Application Operations Dashboard (AOD) effort is the customer’s primary monitoring tool for the enterprise.

    Responsibilities

    The potential candidate requires previous experience with Linux System Administration of medium to large server networks. System Administration tasking will include building, configuring, installing and maintaining CentOS servers; and installing, configuring, and monitoring the AppDynamics software suite to operate at an optimal level. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the current AppDynamics software suite and existing AOD dashboards; and troubleshooting server/application problems. The candidate should have experience working in a team environment, demonstrate the ability to work independently, and possess the ability to work and communicate with the customer and Team Lead. The candidate must be willing to provide occasional after hours support during outages, releases, or as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area)
    • CentOS System Administration
    • Experience in the Amazon Web Services cloud environment
    • Active TS/SCI clearance
    • CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification
    • Experience with Splunk Search Process Language
    • Experience with dashboarding/dashboard techniques
    • Familiarity with javascript
    • Experience with AppDynamics
